Collection: Dragonfly Creative

Welcome to my dream…let me explain. I have always had a passion for creating things, for all things artsy, beautiful, balanced, symmetrical. I began drawing and painting when I was young, encouraged by my Aunt, who was also an artist. I loved landscapes, still life’s, painting, charcoal, pastels, anything tactile. 

After college, a career in interior design and marriage, my artwork seemed to take a back seat to all the  goings on in my life. Then the most important parts of my life happened, the births of my Sons. 

Creation of all things beautiful took on a whole new meaning, and my life changed forever. There was nothing I could ever do that would equal the complete joy that I felt being a Mom to my two boys. They will forever be my inspiration. 

After many years I found myself a single Mom, not the path I had seen for myself and my kids, but the one I was on, nonetheless. It was a full-time job, one I would never change or regret, and absolutely the most rewarding part of my life. I have seen the years of laughter, tears, triumphs, and struggles, the three of us experienced together, turn my boys into caring, respectful young men, who have a love of family and a passion for life. 

They are grown now, and I am an empty nester, but it’s ok because a funny thing happened along the way, I found myself again. The person that I was, the artist, the part of me that was waiting to reemerge. 

Being that strong role model for my kids, pushing through all the crap that life had thrown at us, doing it my way, gave me the confidence I needed, to do what I wanted with my life. 

Now is where my dream comes in... back to that passion for creating and the inspiring journey that life’s path put me on. I came to realize how important it is to be myself, to live a life that is true, a life that utilizes all the natural talents that were bestowed upon me, and so here I am, I have come full circle.  Back to the artsy side that longs to create, to dream, to do. 

I have always wanted a little eclectic shop to sell beautiful items that I love to put together, to paint, to create, to collect. A little shop where others could come and enjoy all the things that I love creating.  Where you could pick up a little something for yourself, or a loved one…something that inspires you, that reminds you that all things have potential to be beautiful. Like an unplanned journey, a bump in the road, that takes you on a path, to a dream.
